In its dimensions, it matches the MS compression gas springs' sizes, damping options, and connector selection. However, for this type, the extension force is chosen to be as high as possible relative to the model's characteristics, so that by releasing pressure, a product with proper operation can be achieved.

The MSV gas spring features a valve at its end, sealed and operated by an Allen screw; to adjust the extension force of the gas spring, momentary opening and closing of the Allen screw is required.
